Stranger Than Fiction, multi-media installation, is a collaboration between visual artists Bill Buzádi and Cindy Buzádi. Discovery, is a twelve minute animated short that attempts to describe the sense of disorientation and confusion in the face of an apparently meaningless or absurd world. Within the film is the story of a crank organ grinder who works in a factory. The organ grinder is trying to fit into society on his own terms. The realization of the hopelessness of his situation threatens his sanity and distorts his perception of reality.

While Cindy Buzádi is also Toronto based, who works with a variety of traditional and unconventional materials. The imagery deals with the struggle to give life meaning and living that life passionately and sincerely. It’s about overcoming obstacles and distractions like despair, angst, absurdity, alienation, boredom, pain, guilt and regret, through perseverance and conviction. The method is about working things out and discovering basic truths in the process.
