Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 12-7 pm
Laura Clayton‘s work is a testament to the concept of the Horror Vacui, a tendency to meticulously fill-in space. Her delicate and detailed drawing are immensely satisfying to examine and elegantly displayed.
"My art practice is largely based in experimentation and exploration. This body of work contains pen or marker drawings on paper. The process of this work acts as a catalyst to engage and invite the viewer into all of the small intimate spaces that develop. It highlights my interest in small detail and obsessive work." Please oin us Thursday September 26th 7-9pm for a reception at Graven Feather, 906 Queen West.
Laura Clayton attended Queens University in Kingston Ontario where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours with her main focus being Printmaking. She continues to investigate diverse ways of making art using multiple mediums and processes. Her work is an intuitive and ongoing experiment which documents her random trains of thought, imagined spaces, and moments in time.
