Ed Pien in Cape Dorset

Feheley Fine Arts is pleased to announce a special release of a print by Toronto artist Ed Pien, printed in Cape Dorset by Qavavau Manumie

in the Kinngait Studios.

Stonecut; 2013

Edition of 50

18 x 14"

on Kizuki Kozo Natural Japanese paper

$800.00 CDN

In the fall of 2012, Ed Pien travelled to Cape Dorset to work in the Kinngait Studios. This was the inaugural residency in the new Visiting Artists Programme sponsored by TD Bank Group. Through this programme, artists from the south travel north for residency in the Kinngait Studios in Cape Dorset and artists from Cape Dorset travel to the south for specialized residencies. This print is the result of a collaboration between Ed Pien and the Studio in which his original ink drawing image was translated into a stonecut print

by master printer Qavavau Manumie.

The print will be released on October 27, 2013.

Please contact us to order BEAKED MAN.

Proceeds of the sale of the print will be donated to the fund

for the Kinngait Studios in the new Dorset Cultural Centre.
