Cyberfest – one of the world’s largest cultural/tech events – has never been held outside Russia.
This year after a bit of a shocking year in Russia, it will be in Berlin taking a stand for free expression and creative sustainability in a changing world.
Nov 13 – 17, top billing, international artists pair with creatives from Russia and local Berlin organizations / community networks that would not normally interact with each other. (100+ artists from all over the world – from video works by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge to performances by Ken Butler and ::vtol:: to interactive installations by Ryan Wolfe and Disney Nasa Borg to sound art by Peter Vogel to symposiums with Feed, Digicult, Transmediale and ikono… Well, it is going to be something to remember…)
Performances, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and symposiums are held with no tickets sold nor entrances fees charged offering truly free, public programming from headliner artists.
This quality programming was willed for the people by the people.
