Parts Where They BelongSarah Cordeaux
March 6th – April 5th
Reception: Thursday March 6th 7-9 pm
Process elaborated by form is an underlying theme in this show by recent graduates of Guelph University’s art program. This March, an engaging and delightful assemblage of pieces fill the gallery at Graven Feather; new work by young artists Sarah Cordeaux, Zoe Downie-Ross and Laura Phan.
The exhibition is a rare combination of printmaking, watercolour and sculpture. The three knew each other at school. And while at first glance each artist may seem to tackle very different subjects, there are philosophical similarities in the way they approach their work. Together they demonstrate a shared interest in deconstructing established architectures, enlivening their traditional mediums with fresh perspectives and enthusiasm for process-based experimentation.
Please join us for the opening this Thursday March 6th 7-9pm to talk with the artists and view this gorgeous and exciting new exhibit. Parts Where They Belong will be up March 6th to April 5th, Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays 12-7pm at Graven Feather.
